Lung Function Testing
Lung function testing is a key component of comprehensive lung cancer screening. It provides valuable information about how well your lungs are working, helping to identify underlying conditions such as COPD or restrictive lung disease that may impact both your risk profile and your ability to undergo certain treatments, including surgery. By assessing your breathing capacity and airflow, lung function tests ensure a more accurate and personalised approach to diagnosis, risk stratification, and treatment planning—enhancing safety and improving outcomes.
We work with Sydney Respiratory & Sleep to coordinate lung function testing. All testing is bulk-billed.
Interventional Procedures
All of our respiratory physicians are experienced in performing bronchoscopy, linear endobronchial ultrasound-guided (EBUS) fine needle aspiration, and pleural procedures—key interventions often required in the assessment and management of pulmonary nodules. Linear EBUS, in particular, plays a crucial role in accurate lung cancer staging. With appointments across both public and private hospitals, our clinicians have access to theatre and procedure lists, ensuring timely coordination of care. Our strong affiliations with three major public hospitals and a leading private hospital allow us to facilitate essential procedures efficiently and accessibly for our patients.
